HealthEdge Continues to Build Team
TAMPA, FLORIDA – November 1, 2016 – HealthEdge Investment Partners, LLC (“HealthEdge”), a Florida-based private equity firm focused exclusively on investing in lower middle market healthcare businesses, is pleased to announce that it has added Josh Hamrick and Winston Haydon to its team. Mr. Hamrick joins as an Associate and will be responsible for deal origination, transaction execution, due diligence, and portfolio management. Mr. Haydon joins as an Operating Partner and brings to HealthEdge over 35 years’ experience in finance and operations, predominantly in healthcare. He is assisting the firm with review and diligence of potential Fund III investments and, as needed, will be working with Fund III companies as Chief Financial Officer.
Prior to joining HealthEdge, Mr. Hamrick was most recently an Investment Banking analyst at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, the Investment Banking Division of SunTrust. In this role, he focused on executing sell-side and buy-side middle-market M&A transactions across the healthcare, industrials, energy, and TMT sectors. At SunTrust Robinson Humphrey Mr. Hamrick was responsible for deal execution, due diligence, and financial modeling advisory to clients in acquisitions, exclusive sales, recapitalizations and fairness opinions for transactions ranging from $50 million to $500 million. His experience prior to SunTrust Robinson Humphrey includes positions with Raymond James & Associates, LCG Capital, and the Executive Office of Governor Rick Scott.
Mr. Haydon began his career with Banker Trust Company where he completed transactions ranging in size from $10 million to $1.5 billion, including private equity, acquisition financing, bonds, commercial paper and bank financing. From 1994 to 2004, he was with Oxford Health Plans, a premier Northeast managed care company where his roles included that of Chief Financial Officer of the company’s largest, $4 billion, division. Since then he has held financial and operational roles in private equity-backed healthcare payor, provider and service companies. He was the Chief Financial Officer of Solantic Corporation, an owner and operator of Florida urgent care clinics, Progressus Therapy, a leading provider of therapists to school districts and HPOne, a company driving enrollment and member engagement for health insurers nationally.
