Limited use of leverage so our portfolio companies aren’t constrained by their capital structure

When it comes to the use of leverage, we truly take a conservative approach—the same can’t be said of many of our industry peers. This affords our portfolio companies more operating flexibility than typical private equity investors. We don’t overburden our portfolio companies with debt in order to generate a return. Instead, we seek to create value the old-fashioned way—building businesses by investing in them.
