Spectrum Medical Partners Acquires Inpatient Care Specialists; Continues Hospitalist Services Expansion Across Florida
ORLANDO, FL – July 8, 2019 – Spectrum Medical Partners Inc. (“Spectrum”), a portfolio company of HealthEdge Investment Partners, LLC (“HealthEdge”), announced today that it has acquired Inpatient Care Specialists, LLC (“ICS” or “the Company”), continuing its expansion of providing hospitalist services across Florida.
Founded in 2012 by Dr. Hasanuz Zaman, ICS is the largest private hospitalist group in Lake, Sumter and Citrus Counties serving The Villages, Inverness, Leesburg, and Ocala markets. The Company provides acute care services to patients in local hospitals, overseeing their care from the time of admission to the time of discharge. ICS’ 13 physicians and nurse practitioners will join Spectrum’s existing Ocala operations, combining to serve patients at over 120 facilities and counting throughout the North Central Florida region.
Inpatient Care Specialists marks Spectrum’s third acquisition following HealthEdge’s investment and partnership with Central Florida Inpatient Medicine (CFIM) and formation of Spectrum Medical Partners in March 2017, which provided the Company with a foundation to continue building a leading hospitalist provider via acquisitions and organic expansion. “I am very excited to partner with the Spectrum organization.
